CANS for C.A.R.E. Success!

By the end of the can drive, Athletes C.A.R.E. and the Landis Center for Community Outreach at Lafayette College, raised over 700 pounds of food!

Thanks to the students, faculty and staff for their participation. During the can drive, the dining hall created pre-made donation bags that could be purchased in various dining halls for five or ten dollars. This made it possible for students to participate, donating a majority of the food!

After the collection, the food was separated into categories of breakfast foods, snacks, drinks, soups, sauces, and pastas. Boxes were loaded into vans and donated to Northwest New, Jersey Community Action Partnership (NORWESCAP) and ProJeCt of Easton.

Thanks to everyone who participated in the annual CANS for C.A.R.E. food drive! Looking forward to another successful drive in 2016!
